Counselling Manager Vacancy

£22,975 per annum

The Living Room is an award winning, abstinence based recovery charity that is in need of an Counselling Manager for 28 hours per week (plus 7 hours once a month), to lead a fully qualified counselling team all of whom themselves are in long term recovery.

We support people to recover from all addictions, using a group therapy, 12-step, community based and non-residential service, where all addictions are recognised as an illness. Our non-time limited approach achieves higher than national average results, as the root causes of addiction are addressed using a psycho-dynamic and psycho-educational approach.

Being BACP accredited you will lead our dynamic counselling team and be part of the senior management team, you will take overall responsibility for the quality of delivery for the treatment of clients.

We are looking for a minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in addiction treatment at Level 4 Diploma in counselling, leadership and management skills and appropriate assessment of need skills. Essentially we require someone with personal experience of 12-step fellowship and 5 years of consecutive abstinence.

Trustee - Treasurer

We are seeking a Treasurer Trustee who can offer advice and support to our Board members and the Executive team. The role requires a maximum commitment of two hours a month to review update emails and attend quarterly lunchtime or evening board meetings.

  • presenting financial reports to the board
  • advising the board on its financial responsibilities
  • liaising with professional advisers
  • preparing and overseeing annual accounts
  • budgeting and preparation of reports

Working within our dynamic team, you will provide afternoon cover on our reception to continue to provide the high customer service level, that we are well known for.  In addition, your duties will involve providing admin support for our CEO and our Fundraising and Marketing Manager.

The Living Room is an award winning, abstinence based recovery charity that is in need of an administrator for 10 hours per week, with possible overtime available on occasions to cover reception for sickness or annual leave.

This is a temporary role for 3 months, with the potential to extend dependent upon funding.

Desirable:

  • Experience of working within a charity or social care organisation
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills

 Essential:

  • GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths
  • High level of competency with Microsoft Office and office management software
  • A Data Barring Service check(DBS) is required
  • Proven experience as an administrator
  • Excellent customer service skills
