The Living Room becomes a member of Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce

The Living Room is now a member of the Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber of Commerce works to support businesses of all shapes and sizes and aim to help organisations and individuals to connect with each other, foster collaboration across multiple industries and grow their profile.

Chief Executive Adrienne Arthurs was presented with The Living Room's membership certificate by Mary Sykes, External Affairs Director at the Chamber (pictured), during this year's Women in Leadership event at the Stevenage Cromwell Hotel.

Adrienne said: "I'm hugely excited about the opportunity this presents us to work with so many different people from a variety of organisations and companies. We're a homegrown Hertfordshire charity and this gives us a chance to connect with more and more local people than we have done in previous years."

Our Team

Our trustees are all volunteers with professional backgrounds who bring a wealth of experience and knowledge, to lead and support the charity. They are an active and dedicated board ensuring The Living Room achieves its mission.

Our Stevenage Hub (est. 2000) hosts free, non-time limited daytime group therapy for all addictions. Additional weekly specialist group sessions are available for drug addiction, disordered eating, relationships and a Family and Carers group.

Watford Hub

Our Watford Hub (est. 2019) provides facilitated daytime group therapy sessions for all addictions and offers an evening facilitated treatment and support group for Family and Carers of people with an addiction.

Our Charity Shop is Grandly Announced Open!

There’s Hope in Hertfordshire as drug deaths rise

Staggering new figures released this week by the Office of National Statistics (ONS) show that drug deaths in England and Wales are at an all-time high. Deaths recorded as drug poisoning have risen for the 10th consecutive year to the highest level since records began 30 years ago, with nearly half of deaths now involving an opiate. Read more
