A grant from the Waitrose Community Matters scheme is helping The Living Room to ditch its plastic and polystyrene cups and replace them with environmentally-friendly, refillable ones. Thanks to the generosity of Waitrose's St Albans shoppers, who pledged their 'green-tokens to us' we received a cheque for £408, which will pay for all our clients to have reusable cups at our Stevenage, St Albans and Watford centres.

Ann Green, our St Albans office manager, picked up the cheque from Georgie Durbin, Community Matters Champion at Waitrose St Albans. "We provide hot drinks for our clients while they attend counselling sessions and have always used disposable cups, which is wasteful and bad for the environment. We're delighted that now we are going to be able to give each client a cup that they keep throughout their time here," said Ann.
