Charity Shop Volunteers

13 or 14 The Glebe, Chells Way, Stevenage SG2 0DL

4 hours minimum - 30 hours per week

A regular commitment is required, due to rotas and we are most in need of help on Saturdays.

We are a local charity raising funds to support the community rehabilitation of people suffering from all addictions. One way to general funds is that we have our own general charity shop (no.14) and children’s charity shop (no.13) based at The Glebe. These also provide a community service as we sell low cost, good quality items for people on a limited budget.

To get involved, we would love you to offer some time to volunteer with us. You will be helping to sort and prepare donations for sale, displays, serve customers and be part of a wonderful team. Full training will be given.

“Volunteering at The Living Room charity shops has helped me grow as a person, giving me a sense of confidence and professional pride in my day-to-day life. I have learnt new skills and improved on existing ones in a friendly and supportive environment. The managers are fun and easy to work for and the customers are always polite and talkative. All this, and I know that I am helping people recover from illness, are the reasons I remain a volunteer.”
