Disordered Eating Counsellor

Hours: 7 each Wednesday

Salary: £14.73 per hour dependent on qualifications

Counsellors trained to a minimum of Level 4 are needed to help us expand our service. It is essential for candidates to have at least one of the three following requirements; lived experience, a special interest or training in the addiction of Disordered Eating. You should be a fellow of BACP of FDAP or working towards membership. If you are in recovery, you should have a minimum of 5 years of continued abstinence.

Bank Counsellors

We have amazing opportunities available for Bank Counsellors with lived experience of addiction.

Hours: Bank - as and when required

Salary: £14.73 per hour dependant on qualifications

Counsellors trained to minimum of Level 3 are needed to help us expand our service. You must have lived experience of addiction for our main group sessions or be specialist in a particular behavioural addiction. You should be a fellow of BACP or FDAP or working towards membership. If you are in recovery, you should have a minimum of 5 years of continued abstinence.

You will receive training from skilled professionals in group therapy and dynamics.

The service will be delivered in one of our hubs in Stevenage, St Albans or Watford or online using Zoom for our Hertfordshire Hub (training will be provided for Zoom).   

Usual hours are from 9am to 4:30pm.

All groups are facilitated by two counsellors practicing psycho-therapeutic, psycho-dynamic, person-centred and CBT approaches. You will be supported and will develop as part of a professional and innovative team. We work with our clients on their journey from triage to planned exit, so good IT skills are essential.

Volunteer Administrator 

We are looking for people with a professional, friendly and welcoming manner as the role includes speaking with potential clients on the phone and in the hub, dealing with general enquiries and problem solving. The role requires administration duties.
